Besides continuing with the conduction of projects, in the future GAST-OST is going to focus on co-ordinating and compiling activities of different institutions in form of an Agricultural Contact Office for Eastern Europe:

• contact partner for interested people from the agrarian sector and the supply and processing sectors in Germany and the CEECs
• setting-up an information network between interested people and service providers as well as initiating contacts
• supporting and organising regional co-operation on association and state level and between interested enterprises
• consulting on specific plans in relation to the restructuring and privatisation of agricultural enterprises as well as rural development planning
• organising international technical conferences and presenting training- and further education measures for managers and trainees from agriculture in Eastern Europe
